TOURISM:
Sokoto was the seat of the 19th, Sokoto Caliphate Relics of the Caliphate are found everywhere in the State. Tombs of Jihad leaders such as Shehu Usman Dan Fodiyo and Muhammadu Bello his son and successor located in Sokoto Wurno respectively draw thousands of visitors annually. There is also the tomb of Muhammadu Fodiyo, Shehu's father, located at Degel in Gwadabawa Local Government.
There are international standard Government owned Hotels in the state to provide accommodation for visitors to the state.
